What is Blob Tracking Fuse?
The Blob Tracking Fuse plugin for DaVinci Resolve offers a distinctive "blob tracking" aesthetic, transforming subtle shifts and vibrant areas into a mesmerizing, animated grid of lines and generative rectangles.
PARAMETERS
Relative Scale: Adjusts the base density of the tracking grid.
Blob Size: Sets the horizontal/vertical size range for the generated rectangle sizes.
Color Threshold: Defines the luminance/color value at which a point is considered "dynamic" for tracking.
Line Width: Controls the thickness of the connecting lines between tracked points.
Blob Outline: Sets the thickness of the outline around the generated rectangles.
Random Offset: Determines the amount of random displacement applied to the texture within rectangles.
Zoom Factor: Controls the zoom level of the original footage sampled inside the rectangles.
Inversion Threshold: Specifies the probability of a rectangle displaying inverted colors.
Blob Color: Sets the primary outline color for the generated rectangles.
Line Color: Sets the color for the lines connecting the tracked points.
Solid Background: Toggles an opaque background behind the effect (likely for previewing or specific composites)
Every parameter can be key framed to get desired results in any section of the video.
Blob Tracking Fuse plugin requires GPU acceleration. If you're using OpenCL on an AMD-based device, it may not function as intended. To test compatibility, download and install this free plugin: https://akascape.gumroad.com/l/super-polygons-beta
Once installed, try the Triangulate 2 effect. If it runs successfully, the Blob Tracking plugin should work as well, since it shares the same underlying shader logic.
(This fuse can work in both free and studio version of Resolve)
